Working at home and going to the office to get the job done have their good and bad sides. The option of working from home will address issues such as traffic delays, dressing up in a rush to get to the office, your fuel will be conserved, thieves will stay away from your house and you eat at home ( cheap and healthy). If you flip the coin all kind of shenanigans will surface. Imagine an individual working from home who got in a fight with his/her spouse? His/her mental focus will be severely distorted. In a rare situation when the couple are going through divorce, there could be intentional disruptions of the peaceful home environment to get the spouse fired from his/her job. Another scenerio is that of young couple who just got married, the spouse may just walk into the husband's office on her day off to kick start trouble, this could lead to a severe distraction. Good trouble with severe consequences I guess. In addition, if a member of the family residing in the house or apartment is sick, this could be another distraction affecting the productivity of the employee and the list goes on.

In contrast to the phenomenon dissected above, going to the office to get the job done is the tradition that majority of pre-millennium individuals are accustomed to. Personally, I believe in going to the office daily because of the nature of my profession, I deal with human beings. This pattern instills discipline and responsibility in you, that is there is time to work and close for the day. This option enables you to set up meetings with people, going out for business meeting and lunch. There are health and wellness benefits attached to going to work daily. Always remember, working from home can lead to a sedentary life and weight gain due to availability of all kind of food at home. Conversely, the security of of your house is at stake while you are away. Furthermore, your teenage son or daughter may takeover your house doing all kind of abnormal things while you at work. There are issues of traffic delaying your arrival at your office, you spend gas money frequently and keep your vehicle mileage will keep climbing. Either way, people have reasons for working from home while others prefer going to the office daily. My choice is going to work because of the health and wellness benefits, also, it clears my head. Working from home is more or less a house arrest. I rest my case, welcome to provocativedebate.com.
