The Tortoise is a gentle creature in comparison to other aggressive animals in their respective ecosystems. But, do not take its gentility for weakness. This characteristic is infused with slow metabolism which reduces cellular damage, great ability to replenish damaged cells to prevent aging and a massive defense fortress provided by its shell. The combination of these features mitigate stress, a great catalyst for long life. On the other hand, a Lion is a busy body and hustler for almost 24/7. This includes hunting, defending its territory from invaders and protecting family members. In the process of trying to dominated and control the ecosystem, Lion is exposed to injuries, sometimes fatal. This situation can be compared to an insurance agent selling insurance to a mountain climber and an individual working for the government regular 8 hours per day. Your guess is as good as my thinking. Welcome to provocativedebate.com.
