Democracy compared to Dictatorship is a never ending conversation and debate in human history. This sphere can only be understood by observing an eclipse in a water served in a white bowl placed in open space outside during the active phenomenon. There are two pertinent characteristics of leadership and the followers all over the world, "no freedom of speech versus freedom of speech". This is the microcosm of Democracy and Dictatorship vis-a-vis their differences. Personally, I still stand with democracy(not the current type all over the globe) over Dictatorship for the following reason: 1. Freedom of speech and expression, 2. On the voting day, the poor and the rich can only cast one vote and 3. The president can be discussed or sometimes insulted in every media without any consequences. But, such privileges are disappearing with the speed of light globally. Loyalty is taking over at an exponential incursion. I strongly believe that the life span of Democracy is gravitating towards zero(0) right in our faces. Should both Democracy and Dictatorship be replaced by a better Government? Welcome to provocativedebate.com.
Here are three reasons why democracy is better than dictatorship
1)Accountability :Leaders are elected and can be voted out, promoting accountability
2)Freedom:citizens have rights and freedoms like speech and assembly
3)Representation:Diverse voices are represented,reflecting the people’s will
Government and leadership are not always by election, some of these positions are occupied by parents, teachers, mentors, up-lines and so forth. Dictatorship versus Democracies are two major government in the world today. Benevolent dictatorship is pertinent in some aspect of our lives without us knowing it. Within the sphere of democracy, there are pockets of dictatorships, Empirically, there are no pure dictatorships and pure democracies......both are intertwined. Now, freedom of speech and expression is the live wire of every civilized human sphere. Democracy has been deoxygenated by bad actors in every cardinal points of the world. The globe is on a spin of confusion and crises but, we will survive this weirdness.
